This is a train that allows you to enjoy the local climate and topography and the area’s food, customs, and scenery with all five senses, that is to say its “natural features.”

Cabin interior

Sofa seats(Car-1)
The motif is the natural features of Oita and Beppu areas. The sofa seats have a warm-colored red base and are focused on providing a solid and comfortable seating experience.

Private tatami room (Car-1)
It can be used for various occasions, including by families with children and group customers. From the large windows you can see abundant scenery along the railway line.

Lounge SUGI(Car-2)
The counter is made of a single piece of cedar that is about 250 years old, and the atmosphere is calm and sophisticated, expressing the rich nature of Hita. It also has a buffet, selling delicious food and drinks along the Yufu Kogen Line, as well as original goods.

Box seating(Car-3)
The motif is the natural features of the Fukuoka and Kurume areas. It is a calm space based on green and blue.

Private tatami room (Car-3)
It can be used for various occasions, including by families with children and group customers. From the large windows you can see abundant scenery along the railway line.

Monday meal <Nakasu Matsu (Fukuoka)>
A Kaiseki Japanese restaurant with a gate in a prime location in the areas with a large concentration of restaurants of Fukuoka and Nakasu. The young shop owner shows his skill.

Tuesday meal <Tomo Clover>
A French restaurant in Beppu, Oita. The meal expresses the world of French cuisine with ingredients that make use of Oita’s majestic natural bounty.

Wednesday meal <Aji Takebayashi>
An authentic Japanese restaurant with one Michelin star in Chuo Ward, Fukuoka. Carefully prepared dishes will brighten up your time on board the train.

Friday meal <ReZecco>
A hidden gem for adults in Chuo-machi, Oita. Enjoy dishes that make the most of Oita's local ingredients.

Saturday meal <FUCHIGAMI>
A famous Fukuoka Italian restaurant visited by gourmets from all over the world. Enjoy innovative cuisine that defies common sense and is full of culinary delights.

Sunday meal <Usagi to Kame>
A Japanese restaurant in Chuo-machi, Oita. Please enjoy with all five senses the rich and pure Japanese cuisine prepared by the owner from Yufuin.

Cuisine (“Oju” Multi-Tiered Lunch Box)
Meals are served in “oju” multi-tiered lunch boxes made from “Hita cedar,” a specialty of Oita and Hita, and “Koishiwara ware,” a traditional craft from Koishiwara in Fukuoka, allowing you to enjoy the unique texture of these materials.

Art decoration in the train interior
The train’s interior is decorated with art that reflects the natural features of the Yufu Kogen Line (Kyudai Main Line). 24 artworks by 10 units of artists adorn the interior under the concept of “Entering the Gateway to a Story.”

Destinations

Kinrinko Lake
Hot spring and a crystal water stream up from the bottom of this lake. It is said that the lake water completely changes twice a day. The shrine gate in the lake was transferred from the Bussanji Temple under the Shinbutsu Hanzen (Shinto and Buddhist Separation) Order during the Meiji period.

Yufuin Hot springs
Refresh yourself in the simple alkaline mineral water tub that commands a panoramic view of Yufudake Mountain!

Tanushimaru Station
A unique station where the entire station building is shaped like a Kappa. The KAPATERIA cafe in the station offers hospitality through the sale of local products.

Era station
Specialty products from Kokonoe Town in Oita Prefecture and sake from the Yatsushika Brewery are available for purchase.

Amagase Station
There are hand and foot baths in front of Amagase Station where you can buy “Yumikuji,” a special fortune-telling ticket that reveals a message when soaked in hot water. Amagase Station welcomes visitors through the sale of specialty products offered by locals.

Ukiha Station
Fruits Village Ukiha Station offers seasonal sweets and specialties sold by locals.
