KYUSHU NET KIPPU This online-only reservation ticket is convenient for use on Kyushu Shinkansen and limited express trains in Kyushu. Reservations may be changed as many times as you wish prior to the boarding day as long as you have not yet picked up your ticket.
KYUSHU NET HAYATOKU 3 This is a discounted online-only reservation ticket for reservations made up to three (3) days prior to departure. It is convenient for use on the Kyushu Shinkansen and limited express trains in Kyushu.

*The date and time stated on the conditions of sale and the handling of reservation changes are based on Japan Standard Time.

*There are some sections for which ticket sales have been suspended due to line damage caused by the Kumamoto earthquake in April 2016 and torrential rain in July 2017.

Conditions of Sale

○Tickets will be issued when non-reserved seats in the ordinary cars of the Shinkansen or limited express trains, or reserved seats on ordinary cars or reserved seats on the Green Car of Express Trans that run on the designated section can be secured.
○Tickets will go on sale from 10:00 one month prior to the date of boarding to 6 minutes prior to the train’s departure time.
○This is a one-way ticket available only through JR-KYUSU Train Reservation service.It cannot be purchased at station ticket counters, etc.
○「KYUSHU NET KIPPU」are available for reserved seats on the Green Car and ordinary cars and non-reserved seats on ordinary cars.
○Cancellations after payment has been completed will incur a cancellation fee.
○Seat availability will vary for each train.
○This service may not be used in conjunction with discounts via various concession cards or other discounts.

Validity of ticket

○When you use this service, be sure to pick up your ticket at a ticket counter or Reserved Seat Ticket Vending Machine at a station prior to boarding.*This service is not available on the mobile reservation screen.
〇The ticket is only valid if used for the direction shown on the ticket.
〇This ticket may not be used in combination with any other fare ticket or express ticket, unless specifically permitted.
○If you alight the train at a station midway through your journey, both the one way fare ticket (A ticket) and express ticket (B ticket) will be rendered invalid for the remaining sections.
○If you miss your train and board another train on the same day, you may use the non-reserved seats in the ordinary cars of the later train.
○If you alight the train at a station midway through your journey, the fare for the unused sections will not be refunded.
○If you are using「KYUSHU NET KIPPU」that extends across the Kagoshima Line and Nippo Line (e.g. Hakata - Oita) and alight the train at Kokura Station, a fare adjustment will be payable for the Nishi-Kokura - Kokura section.

Handling of Reservation Changes

【Prior to picking up ticket】
If you have not yet picked up your ticket, you can change your reservation as many times as you wish using your mobile device or computer, as long as it is before the departure time of the specified train stated on the timetable.(However, if the full journey is on a non-reserved seat, you may change your reservation on the date of departure.)
○If there is a difference in fare after the reservation change, it will be automatically adjusted.Please confirm the amount on your screen before applying for the change to your reservation.
○Reservation changes may be made in the period within three months of the original date of purchase (if there is no corresponding date three months later, by the last day of the third month).Reservations may be made for trains up to one month after the date that the change is made.
(E.g.) If you make a reservation on January 1 for a train departing on January 15, you can change your reservation as many times as you wish until the trains departing on March 31.However, if making a reservation change on January 15, you may change to trains departing no later than one month later, February 15.
○You can change as many times as you wish, with no limits on sections or seat type (reserved seats, non-reserved seats, Green Car seats).If the train that you change to meets the conditions of sale of the 「KYUSHU NET HAYATOKU 3」, you may change to the「KYUSHU NET HAYATOKU 3」.However, you may not change to any other ticket type than the 「KYUSHU NET KIPPU」and 「KYUSHU NET HAYATOKU 3」 .If you wish to change to a different ticket type, you will first need to receive a refund (fees charged) for your JR Kyushu Online Booking ticket or JR Kyushu Online Early Booking Discount ticket, and make a new reservation for the different ticket type.
○You may also make seat changes on the same train.
○If you have specified multiple trains, any changes will be treated as reservation changes only if the entire itinerary is changed.

【After picking up ticket】
○Available at major JR-KYUSHU stations
○After you have picked up your「KYUSHU NET KIPPU」, if you apply at the station ticket counter, etc. prior to the departure time stated on the timetable, you may make one change only for the same day/same section/same seat type/same route.
*However, this change may only be made if there are vacant seats on the train that you wish to change to for which「KYUSHU NET KIPPU」is valid.
○For all other changes, you may purchase a separate new, non-discounted express ticket and you will be refunded without charge for the B ticket you have previously received.You may also make a completely new reservation yourself and receive a refund for the ticket you have already picked up (in this case, refund fees will be incurred).
○No reservation changes may be made after boarding (extension of journey, change of direction, change of route). Such changes will be treated as separate journeys.
○You may not change to another fare ticket type. If you wish to use another fare ticket type, please first receive a refund for the ticket you currently hold, before making a new purchase of whatever ticket type available.

Refunds

○The refund fee differs between before and after you have picked up your ticket.Refunds after you have picked up your ticket may be obtained at major JR-KYUSHU stations.

【Prior to picking up ticket】
Refunds may be processed from your mobile device or computer.The amount deducting the total of the applicable refund fees from purchase price will be refunded only if it is prior to the scheduled departure time of the specified train.

【After picking up ticket】
○Refunds will be made only within the validity period and prior to use.However, there are cases in which, even if the ticket has not yet been used, it cannot be refunded after the reserved train has departed.

Handling of Reservation Changes

○Once you have picked up your「KYUSHU NET HAYATOKU 3」, changes may not be made as a general rule.If it is before the scheduled departure time of the specified train, you may purchase a separate new, non-discounted express ticket and you will be refunded without charge for the B ticket (express ticket, etc.) you have previously received.You may also make a completely new reservation yourself and have the ticket you have already picked up refunded.(However, in this case, refund fees will be incurred.)
○If the scheduled departure time for your specified train has passed, your B ticket (express ticket, etc.) will be rendered invalid.You cannot board a later train in a non-reserved seats car. Please purchase a separate express ticket. etc.
○No reservation changes may be made after boarding (extension of journey, change of direction, change of route). Such changes will be treated as separate journeys.
○You may not change to another fare ticket type. If you wish to use another fare ticket type, please first receive a refund for the ticket you currently hold, before making a new purchase of whatever ticket type available.

Refunds
