On August 1st, we will open a new website "JR Kyushu Rail Pass Online Booking" and start selling the JR Kyushu Rail Pass and Yufuin no Mori, Yufu, and Ibusuki no Tamatebako advance reservation seat service (*).
Take advantage of the new service to enjoy a more comfortable Kyushu rail trip!

* The advance reservation seat service is for customers who have purchased a JR Kyushu Rail Pass or a voucher of the pass through "JR Kyushu Rail Pass Online Booking" or specific travel agencies

We also operate Limited Express trains "Yufuin no Mori" and "Yufu" in August ! (until August 31, 2017)
Due to the influence of the heavy rain, the limited express "Yufuin no Mori" and "Yufu" , which are temporarily operated by changing the operating time and service section, continue to operate in the same section in August !

Let's go from Oita to Yufuin / Hita! The Limited Express "Yufu" will resume driving between Beppu Station, Oita Station and Hita Station.
About the limited express "Yufu" which was canceled a part of Kyudai Main Line due to heavy rain, we will operate between Beppu/Oita and Hita station from Monday, July 24.
For traveling to the Yufuin/Hita area, please use the limited express "Yufu" in addition to the limited express "Yufuin no Mori".

Let's enjoy summer of Yufuin! Limited Express ”Yufuin no Mori" runs through Kokura・Oita!
"Yufuin no Mori" where part of the Kyudai main line was inoperable due to heavy rain, and we starting 15 July(Sat.), Change the original route Kurume, from operate temporary train via Kokura・Oita.
In addition, you can go to Yufuin by transfer limited express "Sonic" and local train from Oita Station.
Please enjoy the train trip to Yufuin this summer.

Limited Express "Aso Boy!" is coming back to Aso! Aso Boy! is going to run between Beppu Station/ Oita Station and Aso Station for limited time only! (from Jul. to Dec.)
D&S Train "Aso Boy!" is going to run between Beppu Station/ Oita Station and Aso Station from July to December, 2017. Cabin attendants will be on board, and watch and play with children and sell on-board products as before. Don't miss this opportunity!

Partial Change of Eligibility for use of JR Kyushu Rail Pass
JR Kyushu Rail Pass has been sold to a Japanese national living outside of Japan who meets the certain conditions, however, the sales of the Exchange Order will be ended on March 31, 2017. (The Exchange Order is not sold in Japan.)
Eligibility of use of the Exchange Order sold on and after April 1, 2017 will exclusively be for foreign tourists visiting Japan from abroad for sightseeing, under the entry status of "temporary visitor." (*Only for those who have the foreign passport.)

Limited Express Train “Asoboy!” 's service days are decided. (December-February)
Until December, it will run between Hakata Station and Huis Ten Bosch Station. From January to February, it will run between Hakata Station and Mojiko Station again. Please enjoy the train that is popular among kids.

Express Train "Aso Boy!" will run between Hakata Station - Huis Ten Bosch this time! (October - November)
"Aso Boy" runs between Hakata Station - Kokura Station / Mojiko Station until September. From October, it will run between Hakata Station - Huis Ten Bosch Station. There is our character dog "Kurochan" all over on this charming and fun express train "Aso Boy!". It runs through between Hakata Station - Huis Ten Bosch Station!! Would you like to experience something special?

There is an opportunity to ride on "Asoboy!" in Fukuoka area! (For those who are riding the train in August-September)
Limited express train "Asoboy!" which is available only in Kumamoto, will operate between Hakata station and Kokura/Mojiko station. It is an adorable train, with Asoboy's character "Kurochan" all over. Also there are parent and child seat, Panorama Seat, and other unique seats too. It is very rare, we have a playground for kids inside the train too. We hope you won't miss this chance.

Limited Express Train "Kyushu Odan Tokkyu" will be reopen partially between Aso Station and Beppu Station!
The Hohi line that has been suspended will reopen partially between Aso Station and Bungo-Ogi Station. With this operation, the limited express train "Kyushu Odan Tokkyu" will be reopen between Aso Station and Oita/ Beppu Station from July 9th (Sat). However, between Higo-Ozu Station and Aso Station, the operation is still suspended.

Postponement of start of operation of “SL Hitoyoshi”
We had planned to start the operation of the “SL Hitoyoshi” for this season from Saturday March 19th, 2016.
This train runs between Kumamoto and Hitoyoshi as one of our D&S trains (sightseeing trains). However, due to the circumstances of the vehicle inspection, the start date for the operation will be postponed.

Due to maintenance work, the No. 3 and No. 4 services of Yufuin no Mori will be operated with three cars instead of the normal four cars for the period outlined below.

New rules for JR Kyushu Rail Pass
From April 1st 2016, the usage rules of the pass will change as below.
(1)A limitation on the number of Reserve Seat Tickets one can obtain:
3-Day Pass:10 times maximum, 5-Day Pass:16 times maximum
(2)A new area will be added to the Northern Kyushu Area Pass.
*The inclusion of our sightseeing train “A-TRAIN” in the pass.

Information about the Exhibition, “Visit Japan FIT Travel Fair 2015 Winter” Held in Bangkok, Thailand (Nov 6 - 8)
JR Kyushu will exhibit at “Visit Japan FIT Travel Fair 2015 Winter” that will be held in Bangkok, Thailand, from November 6th to 8th.
We are preparing brochures on Kyushu trains and tourist spots. The venue is located at Royal Paragon Hall 3 which is inside SIAM PARAGON. The nearest station is SIAM BTS Station. If you are interested in Kyushu where you can experience nature, hot springs, beside others, please do come to visit us.

Notice for Operation Resumption
The train operation from Yatsushiro to Hitoyoshi station which was disrupted due to the Typhoon No. 15 will resume on September 19. Whole line restoration will be completed with this resumption.

The interior of Kyushu Shinkansen and D&S Train will be covered on Google Street View.
JR Kyushu will have the interior of 9 types of trains in total (Kyushu Shinkansen and D&S trains including Yufuin No Mori) covered on Google Street View.

The limited express train, Yufuin no Mori No. 1, 2, 5 and 6 will run with five cars after July 18, 2015.
After July 18, 2015, the number of cars in the limited express train, Yufuin no Mori No.1, 2, 5 and 6 will be increased by one car and 60 seats.
