| Introduction | Suizenji Jojuen Garden is a strolling garden that was built by three generations of lords from the Higo Hosokawa clan, starting with Hosokawa Tadatoshi, Lord of the Kumamoto Domain. In this garden, you can enjoy a graceful stroll around a pond that is fed by underground spring water coming from Mt. Aso while taking in views of the garden’s features, including tsukiyama (an artificial hill), ukiishi (partially submerged stones), and pine trees. |
