Nagasaki
Due to its history of being the only port open for foreign trading during the Edo period (17th century to mid-19th century), Nagasaki has a unique multinational cultural environment born from a fusion of the customs and cultures of Japan, China and Europe. The capital, Nagasaki City, is a historic port town and is known as a city with sloping roads.
Visit Mount Inasa, especially after dark, and enjoy a spectacular "Ten Million Dollar Night View" of the city and the harbor from the mountaintop observatory. This view has been chosen as one of the World's Top Three Night Views.
