  • Q1. How soon can the pass be purchased?

    A1. You can purchase it on the JR Kyushu Rail Pass Online Booking site from the following periods.

    ・JR Kyushu Rail Pass: From 10:00 AM (Japan time) one month before the start of use
    ・Reserved seat reservations: From 10:00 AM (Japan time) one month before the boarding date

    Example) For May 1, it can be purchased from 10:00 AM on April 1.
    For May 31, it can be purchased from 10:00 AM on May 1.

    *If purchasing the JR Kyushu Rail Pass through a travel agency, acceptance times may vary by travel agency or travel agent.
    For details, please inquire directly with the place of purchase.

  • Q2. I'd like to make changes to my reservation.

    A2. If you would like to modify the details of your reservation made on the JR Kyushu Rail Pass Online Booking site, you (the purchaser) must make the changes yourself. For the JR Kyushu Rail Pass, changes must be made until 23:00 (Japan time) on the day before the start of use, and for reserved seats, before the departure of the train. Please keep this in mind.

    There is no fee for making changes.
    Please note that once your changes are processed, a new payment will be made for the modified details, and a full refund for the original reservation will be credited back to your credit card separately.
    *Your credit card company's refund process may take place at a later date.
    *JR Kyushu does not have control over the timing of refunds from the credit card company to your account. Please inquire directly with your credit card company.

  • Q4. My reservation could not be completed. Why?

    A4. ・If you cannot select a train:
    When making a reserved seat reservation on the JR Kyushu Rail Pass Online Booking site,
    a "Reservable," "Few seats remaining," or "Not reservable" status will be displayed on the train selection screen based on availability at the time of booking.
    If "Not reservable" is displayed, it means that all available seats are fully booked, and you cannot make a reservation.

    ・If you received a reservation failure email:
    Possible reasons for the failure of your reservation may include the following.
    1) Incorrectly entered card information (card number, expiration date, card issuer, etc.)
    2) The card is currently not usable (credit limit exceeded, etc.)
     Please refer to the following for the credit cards we accept.
     You can use cards from the following credit card brands:
     
     However, the following payment methods cannot be used even if the brand of the card is accepted. Do not register these cards, as even if you make a reservation, you will not be able to receive the ticket.
     ・Disposable cards, Visa prepaid cards, non-physical cards such as virtual cards
     ・Online payment-only cards containing only a card number and no magnetic stripe information
     ・Cards without an expiration datebr>  ・Mini cards
     ・Other cards that cannot be used at physical stores

    ・If outside reception hours:
    If you make a reservation between 23:00 and 5:30 (Japan time),your reservation will be temporarily put on holdregardless of seat availability. You will be informed of the results by email after 5:30 the next morning.
     *If you receive a reservation failure result, please check again whether the cause is any of the above.

  • Q5. I'd like to confirm my reservation details.

    A5. After logging in to JR Kyushu Rail Pass Online Booking, please confirm your reservation details using the "Inquiry/Change/Refund" button.

    *Information on how to confirm your reservation is provided before the section on making changes.

    Please note that the reservation completion email cannot be resent. Your understanding is appreciated.

  • Q6. How do I reserve a seat on the train when using the JR Kyushu Rail Pass?

    A6. The method of reserving designated seats varies depending on whether doing so before or after the pass has been redeemed.
    ・Before pass redemption (requires a fee)
     If you purchased the JR Kyushu Rail Pass through JR Kyushu Rail Pass Online Booking or a designated travel agency, you can reserve a seat through JR Kyushu Rail Pass Online Booking before receiving the pass (only applicable to certain trains).
     An additional fee will be charged separately from the JR Kyushu Rail Pass fare.

    ・After pass redemption (free)
     Once you have redeemed your pass, you cannot make seat reservations through JR Kyushu Rail Pass Online Booking.
     After redeeming the JR Kyushu Rail Pass at the station counter, you can only reserve designated seats in the following two ways:
     1.At the JR Kyushu Ticketing Office (Midori-no-madoguchi)
     2.At a reserved seat ticket vending machine

     You can reserve designated seats for free within the specified number of times for each pass.

       *Please note that you cannot board a train with all reserved seats if it is fully booked.

  • Q9. I can’t log in to the JR Kyushu Rail Pass Online Booking site.

    A9. When logging in to the JR Kyushu Rail Pass Online Booking site, you need to input your reservation number.
    Please double-check the information you entered.

    Reservation Number: The required reservation number for logging in varies depending on the company that issued the voucher.
    ・JR Kyushu Rail Pass Online Booking site: KRP No. (a 12-digit number starting with K)
    ・Designated travel agencies issuing an eMCO with QR code: KRP No. (a 12-digit number starting with K)
    ・NTA: MCO number (Voucher number)
    ・KLOOK: Voucher number
    ・LINKTIVITY: E-ticket Number

    Additionally, if you have received a notification email for a temporary password, please access the URL in the email and log in.
    *The temporary password is valid for 3 hours.
    If the temporary password expires or if you forget your password, please try registering your email address again.

  • Q11. Is it necessary to print the redemption voucher for the JR Kyushu Rail Pass and advance seat reservations?

    A11. You do not have to print the redemption voucher.
    If you choose not to print it, you can save it on your mobile device (such as your phone) and present it to the station staff at the ticket counter.
    Please note that if you cannot present the voucher, it cannot be redeemed.

    If you lose your redemption voucher, you can either download it again from the URL in your reservation confirmation email or by logging in to the JR Kyushu Rail Pass Online Booking site, clicking the ""Inquiry/Change/Refund"" button to access the reservation search screen, and navigating to ""To e-ticket print"" at the bottom."
