“Credit card transit” is a convenient service that allows you to simply tap a compatible credit card or smartphone on an automatic ticket gate or dedicated reader to complete both entry and payment.It makes the entire boarding process simpler and more seamless than ever before.
Supported card brands include:Visa, JCB, American Express, Mastercard, Diners Club, Discover, and UnionPay.
Just tap your card on the reader installed at participating stations, and you can board JR Kyushu trains with ease.

HOW TO USE

Simply tap your compatible credit card or smartphone—enabled for contactless transit with Visa, JCB, American Express, Mastercard, Diners Club, Discover, or UnionPay—on the dedicated reader at the ticket gate to ride the train.

Dedicated contactless payment devices for credit card transit are installed at participating stations in one of the following forms.

What types of cards can be used?
Cards with the contactless payment symbol are accepted, including Visa, Mastercard, JCB, American Express, Diners Club, Discover, and UnionPay. Credit, debit, and prepaid cards are all supported.
Is advance registration required?
No, advance membership or app registration is not required.
You can simply tap your contactless-enabled credit card, debit card, or smartphone payment (such as Apple Pay or Google Pay) on the ticket gate reader to use the service.
May I use a card registered on a smartphone or wearable device (such as Apple Pay or Google Pay)?
Yes, you can.
If you have registered a contactless-enabled credit or debit card on your smartphone or wearable device (such as Apple Pay or Google Pay), you can use it by tapping your device on the ticket gate reader.
Please ensure that you use the same card (or device) when entering and exiting the ticket gates
May I use the Shinkansen?
The Shinkansen is not available with this service.
May I use the Shinkansen transfer gates?
Shinkansen transfer gates are not available for use.
May I exit at a station that does not support contactless card payment?
No, you cannot exit using contactless card payment at stations that do not support this service.
If you enter using a contactless card, you must exit at a station equipped with a compatible ticket gate.
If you get off at a non-supported station, please speak to a station staff member for assistance.
May I use my card for shopping while traveling with contactless payment?
Yes, the credit card or smartphone you use for contactless transit can also be used for regular purchases as usual.
May I use a credit card registered under a family member’s name?
Credit cards that are not in the cardholder’s own name cannot be used.
Could multiple people use one card?
No, multiple passengers cannot use a single contactless card at the same time.
Each card can only be used by one person.
If traveling in a group, each passenger must use their own contactless-enabled card or device.
May I use contactless payment together with other tickets (such as commuter passes)?
No, contactless transit cannot be used in combination with other tickets, such as commuter passes.
If you use contactless payment, you must use the same contactless-enabled card or device from entry to exit.
When will the fare be charged?
Fares for contactless transit are billed later and charged to your credit card in a lump sum.
The actual payment date depends on your credit card issuer’s billing cycle and payment schedule.
