May I use the Shinkansen?
The Shinkansen is not available with this service.

Shinkansen transfer gates are not available for use.
May I exit at a station that does not support contactless card payment?
No, you cannot exit using contactless card payment at stations that do not support this service.
If you enter using a contactless card, you must exit at a station equipped with a compatible ticket gate.
If you get off at a non-supported station, please speak to a station staff member for assistance.
May I use my card for shopping while traveling with contactless payment?
Yes, the credit card or smartphone you use for contactless transit can also be used for regular purchases as usual.
May I use a credit card registered under a family member’s name?
Credit cards that are not in the cardholder’s own name cannot be used.
Could multiple people use one card?
No, multiple passengers cannot use a single contactless card at the same time.
Each card can only be used by one person.
If traveling in a group, each passenger must use their own contactless-enabled card or device.
May I use contactless payment together with other tickets (such as commuter passes)?
No, contactless transit cannot be used in combination with other tickets, such as commuter passes.

When will the fare be charged?
Fares for contactless transit are billed later and charged to your credit card in a lump sum.
