There is a guest room on the 2nd floor of Mojiko Station which is used for elite guests. The guest room is located at the end of a corridor that leads from a staircase especially for elite guests which starts from a stairwell that is accessed from the platform. At the time, the southern portion of the 2nd floor of the station was reserved for use by elite guests.
During 1912-1926, Emperor Taisho, the Crown Prince and Princess used the room when their visited the area. It is believed they used the room as temporary resting spot. During the recent restoration, a person living in the Kita-kyushu area who possessed the wallpaper that was used in the guest room at the time provided a sample to help replicate the luxurious interior of the guest room.
