  • Q3 I have purchased a voucher for JR Kyushu Rail Pass at a travel agency. Can I reserve and purchase a reserved seat on JR KYUSHU RAIL PASS Online Booking?

    Customers who have purchased a voucher for JR Kyushu Rail Pass at a designated travel agency can reserve and purchase a reserved seat on our booking website.
    Designated travel agencies are as follows:
    Nippon Travel Agency, JALPAK, JR Kyushu Jet Ferry, Tour baksa, Hana tour, Cosmo Travel, EGL Tours, Package Tour, Yes Trip, cola tour, LION TRAVEL, Baicheng and their affiliate travel agencies/shops

    Vouchers available to reserve and purchase a reserved seat shall have 15-digit KRP Reservation No. starting with capital letter K or shall be a paper MCO of an exclusive form with "Nippon Travel Agency" indicated on the face of the voucher.

  • Q4 I have purchased a voucher for Japan Rail Pass at a travel agency. Can I reserve and purchase a reserved seat on JR KYUSHU RAIL PASS Online Booking?

    JR KYUSHU RAIL PASS Online Booking provides services related to JR Kyushu Rail Pass alone.
    Japan Rail Pass is not covered by our services.

  • Q6 What facilities can I reserve and purchase on JR KYUSHU RAIL PASS Online Booking?

    You can reserve and purchase a reserved seat for an ordinary car of the train to be reserved.
    Note, however, that you cannot reserve and purchase some special facilities, including booth seats.
    If you want to reserve a seat that cannot be reserved and purchased on the Internet, please come to the ticket office of JR Kyushu after receiving your JR Kyushu Rail Pass.

  • Q7 When do you accept reservations?

    We accept reservations for 24 hours.
    However, when you apply for a reservation from 23:00 to 05:30 (Japan time), we hold your reservation once and inform you of the result by e-mail next morning.
    Note that you may not be able to use the system even during the above hours due to system maintenance. The schedule of system maintenance will be announced in "Notice" on the top page of our booking website.
    [Changes/Refunds]
    We accept requests for changes and refunds from 05:30 to 23:00 (Japan time).

  • Q8 How are the settlements of purchase, change, and refund made?

    The credit card that you have registered on our booking website is used for the settlements of purchase, change, and refund.

  • Q9 When are the settlements of purchase, change, and refund made?

    The settlements of purchase, change, and refund are made at the point when the completion screen is displayed and an e-mail that informs that the purchase, change, or refund is completed sent from JR Kyushu.
    The contract is concluded at the point when the reservation is established. Therefore, refund after the establishment of reservation requires a fee.
    A reservation accepted from 23:00 to 5:30 (Japan time) is settled at the point when the reservation and purchase is established next morning.

  • Q10 What currency is used for the settlements of purchase, change, and refund?

    Japanese yen is used for the settlements of purchase, change, and refund.

  • Q11 I don't have an e-mail address. Can I reserve and purchase a ticket on JR KYUSHU RAIL PASS Online Booking?

    We are afraid you cannot.
    A notice of reservation establishment and other information are sent to customers from JR Kyushu by e-mail. Therefore, you need to use e-mail.
    Please register your own e-mail address to reserve and purchase a ticket.

  • Q12 I don't have a credit card. Can I reserve and purchase a ticket on JR KYUSHU RAIL PASS Online Booking?

    A purchaser must be one of users.
    When receiving the reserved and purchased ticket, you need to present the credit card.

  • Q13 For up to how many people can I reserve and purchase tickets on JR KYUSHU RAIL PASS Online Booking?

  • Q14 Can I reserve and purchase multiple passes for an identical user on JR KYUSHU RAIL PASS Online Booking?

    An identical user cannot purchase multiple passes of which term of validity are exactly the same. An identical user can purchase multiple passes of which term of validity are partially overlapping (E.g.: A 3-day pass for Northern Kyushu area valid from Jan. 1 to Jan. 3 and a 3-day pass for Southern Kyushu area valid from Jan. 3 to Jan. 5).
    However, you cannot reserve and purchase multiple passes in one operation.
    Please carry out an reservation and purchase operation separately for each pass.

  • Q15 I want to reserve a seat for the Yufuin no Mori from Hakata to Yufuin, but "Yufuin" is not indicated in the options.

  • Q20 If I don't pick up a reserved ticket, is the money I have paid automatically refunded?

    Be sure to perform the refund procedure on our booking website by yourself.
    If a message saying that the refund operation has failed is displayed, contact us from the inquiry form.

  • Q21 I have left my credit card used for reservation and purchase at home. Can I still pick up the reserved ticket at the ticket office of JR Kyushu?

    We are afraind you cannot.
    If you don't present the credit card used for reservation and purchase, you cannot pick up the ticket.
    You need to take the procedure to refund the reserved ticket at the ticket office and purchase a new ticket you need again.

  • Q22 When I make a reservation for more than one person, is it OK that only a purchaser come to pick up the tickets?

    All users need to come to the ticket office.

  • Q23 I have purchased a JR Kyushu Rail Pass (e-ticket) at a travel agency and made a seat reservation. I have changed the type of JR Kyushu Rail Pass (e-ticket) after the seat reservation. Can I still use the seat reservation as it is?

    No, you cannot use the seat reservation as it is.
    For the seat reserved using the voucher before change, perform the refund procedure by yourself on our booking website.

  • Q26 When I made a reservation change, I was charged twice on the credit card. Why did it occur?

    Settlement processing accompanying a reservation change is performed in the following order: 1. settlement of new reservation after change, 2. refund of all amount paid for the previous reservation before change
    The processing by JR Kyushu is performed at the point when the completion screen is displayed and a change completion e-mail is sent from JR Kyushu. However, the processing to refund from a credit card company to a customer may be performed at a later date.
    Please contact the credit card company by yourself to inquire the use situation of the credit card and the time of refund.

  • Q27 If I change (cancel) a JR Kyushu Rail Pass, is a seat reservation automatically changed (canceled)?

    No, it is not automatically changed (canceled).
    Please perform the change (cancel) procedures for the reserved seat by yourself on our booking website, too.

  • Q28 I am a foreigner living in Japan. Can I reserve and purchase a ticket on JR KYUSHU RAIL PASS Online Booking?

    No, you cannot.
    The tickets handled on our booking website (JR Kyushu Rail Pass and seat reservation ticket valid only when it is used in combination with JR Kyushu Rail Pass) are available only to foreigners who are qualified for a short-term stay in Japan and visit Japan.
    Our booking website does not handle tickets available to foreigners living in Japan.

  • Q29 Can I reserve and purchase tickets for my family living in Japan on JR KYUSHU RAIL PASS Online Booking?

    No, you cannot.
    The tickets handled on our booking website (JR Kyushu Rail Pass and seat reservation ticket valid only when it is used in combination with JR Kyushu Rail Pass) are available only to foreigners who are qualified for a short-term stay in Japan and visit Japan.
    Our booking website does not handle tickets available to foreigners living in Japan.

  • Q30 From what age to what age are child fares applied?

    Child fares are applied to customers from six years to 11 years.
    When purchasing a JR Kyushu Rail Pass at JR Kyushu stations or on our booking website, users are classified into adults and children based on the age at a usage start date.
    When purchasing a voucher at an overseas travel agency and the like, users are classified into adults and children based on the age at the purchase date of the voucher.

  • Q31 Is a ticket necessary for a child five years or younger?

    A fare for toddlers five years or younger is free.
    Note, however, that a ticket for a child is required in the following cases.
    1) An Adult or Child is accompanied by more than two toddlers.
    (A fare is free up to two toddlers, and a Child fare is applied to the third and any additional toddlers.)
    2) A toddler requires a reserved seat.
    3) A toddler boards a train alone.

  • Q32 Can I reserve and purchase a reserved seat alone on JR KYUSHU RAIL PASS Online Booking without purchasing a JR Kyushu Rail Pass (voucher)?

    If you don't have a JR Kyushu Rail Pass or a JR Kyushu Rail Pass voucher, you cannot reserve and purchase a reserved seat on our booking website.
    In order to reserve a reserved seat on our booking website, you need to purchase a JR Kyushu Rail Pass in advance by either of the following methods.
    1) Reserve and purchase a JR Kyushu Rail Pass on our booking website.
    2) Purchase a JR Kyushu Rail Pass voucher at a designated travel agency.

    If your JR Kyushu Rail Pass voucher has a KRP Reservation No. (15-digit number stating with capital letter K), you don't need to select a travel agency name.
    Leave the travel agency name as is the initial display without selecting anything and input other items. Then click "Set password".
